Seeing an opportunity to offer families in WA a better choice in funeral services, Don Chipper decided to start Oakwood Funerals in 1999.
Oakwood Funerals Booragoon is located just is only a 20-minute drive south west of Perth. We proudly serve the local community, providing an exceptional level of service and care to families in Booragoon, Myaree, Brentwood, Mount Pleasant, Ardross, Alfred Cove, Winthrop, Bateman and Bull Creek.
Our compassionate funeral directors are here to help you through this difficult time, gently guiding and supporting you as you plan for the funeral of a loved one. We can take care of all the little details and help you arrange a ceremony that suitably celebrates the life that was lived.
Reflecting the diversity of the local area, we have experience working with families from many different cultures and religions.
We believe that every funeral service should be unique; and that there are no set rules for where or how to hold a funeral. Our funeral directors can help you arrange a service at any location, such as:
Following the ceremony, you may choose to bury or memorialise your loved one at Fremantle Cemetery, which is less than 5km from our funeral home. This historical cemetery caters for our culturally diverse population, and offers burials, memorials and a mausoleum.

There are 37 parking spots at the funeral home and additional parking available on neighbouring streets. Our funeral home is easily accessible by public transport, with regular buses running along Scarborough Beach Road from Glendalough train station.

Pauline came to Australia from Aberdeen, Scotland in 1973 and has been part of the Oakwood family for 14 years, since 2003. She loves to support her families by going the extra mile and believes nothing is too much trouble and that one should always think ‘outside of the box’ to meet the families wishes for their loved one.
Pauline has a daughter and is a proud grandmother of a granddaughter and a grandson. In her spare time she enjoys traveling, gardening, spending time with her animals as well as horse riding, motorbike riding and camping when time permits.
